Air Purification For Transport & Public Buildings

At the heart of all things Evergen, lies the unwavering mission to bring new and innovative sustainability technologies to market. Technologies that reduce our carbon emissions, clean our air, and give us a healthier space to live and to work within the built environment.

In an excerpt from an article published by WorkMind.org

It says;

‘According to a report published on the 21st of July by the Royal Academy of Engineering and its partners in the National Engineering Policy Centre (NEPC) good ventilation inside public buildings and on transport systems is essential to reducing the risk of COVID-19 and other infections.

In a report commissioned by the Government Chief Scientific Adviser, Sir Patrick Vallance, leading engineers say the importance of ventilation is too often neglected, and that the COVID-19 crisis has revealed flaws in the way which we design, manage and operate buildings. Unless they are addressed, these could disrupt management of this and future pandemics, impose high financial and health costs on society and constrain our ability to address other challenges, such as climate change.

The report was compiled by a National Engineering Policy Centre working group led by the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) with key inputs from the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the Institution of Civil Engineers and the Institution of Chemical Engineers. Evidentiary hearings were held with representatives from a range of sectors including hospitals, care homes, local government, higher education, hospitality, offices and transport. This initial report highlights immediate issues ahead of winter and sets the agenda for more long-lasting change…….Clearly identifiable measures that can be implemented at moderate cost will help to ensure that adequate ventilation is prioritised alongside more visible measures such as surface cleaning and distancing.’

So, finally, we are seeing the penny starting to drop, ventilation, good ventilation has a significant role to play in keeping people protected against COVID-19 but also against other particulate matter from pollutants that can be found in the air. The NHS already uses Evergen Air to protect staff and patients.

Cleaner Air for Life

Low indoor air quality (IAQ) is caused not only by poorly maintained air conditioning, and poor ventilation, but subsequent contaminant particles from respiratory debris too. Once this respiratory debris becomes airborne, – from coughing and sneezing in the main, infection spreads.

Now, Evergen Air brings IAQ solutions for ultimate air decontamination, suitable for the buildings and transport sectors. Accredited to ISO 16890 and certified by leading global institutions and laboratories, such as BSRIA, the ILH in Berlin, CETIAT, IRAM and the NPL, you can rest assured that Evergen Air can protect businesses, staff and customers, thanks to its proven hospital-grade technology.

Typically, contaminant viruses, mould and bacteria particles fall between 0.1 – 1µm in size with an average of 0.126µm. Unlike other providers Evergen Air never uses HEPA filters to trap these particles, as the contaminants can still escape or regrow.  Instead, Evergen Air uses electrostatic precipitators which destroys particulate matter down to as small as PM1/ 0.1µm.

Evergen Air technology is effective in mitigating COVID-19 particles and is a vital component in reducing the spread of this disease.

Evergen Air can provide a number of solutions from portable ventilation of varying sizes to a full purification technology install either into new builds or retrofits into integral AHUs, HVAC and centralised ventilation systems. For any building or transport business protecting staff from exposure is just as important as protecting customers. Having staff away on sick leave means more pressure on both existing manpower and financial resource.

Evergen Air technology is an important part of any infection control delivered by a modern-day organisation. Call us today and book for a complimentary site review and preliminary discussion.
